The Chairman of Ibeno Local Government Area, Hon. Glory Effiong, has reaffirmed her dedication to people-oriented and inclusive governance.
She made this known on Tuesday, October 14, at Ukpenekang, during the commissioning of key projects and flag-off of the Ibeno Mega Empowerment Initiative, to mark her one year in office.
Highlighting her administration’s achievements, Hon. Effiong listed completed and ongoing projects including the construction of a Community Health Centre at Iwuokpom, installation of solar streetlights, renovation of council quarters and motor park, provision of water and toilet facilities for market women, establishment of the ARISE Farm, rehabilitation of roads, welfare support for widows and orphans, and the construction of a Compassionate Home at Okorutip.
She noted that ongoing projects, such as the ultra-modern Secretariat Complex, the ICT and JAMB Centre, and drainage works, reflect her resolve to make governance more responsive at the grassroots.

First Lady Designate, Lady Helen Obareki, commended the Hon. Effiong for effectively interpreting Governor Umo Eno’s vision and commissioned the Iwuokpom Primary Health Centre, named after Pastor Patience Umo Eno.
The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Frank Archibong, praised the Chairman’s outstanding performance, while the Head of Local Government Service, Prince Ndaeyo Inuaeyen, described her as a visionary leader promoting transparency and effective service delivery.
