The Chairman of Ibeno Local Government Area, Hon. Glory Effiong, has reiterated her administration’s commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery through the upgrade of health facilities, particularly in rural and underserved communities.
Hon. Effiong made this known during an inspection visit to the Iwuo-Okpom Health Post, where she assessed the progress of the ongoing infrastructure upgrade. She emphasized that the initiative reflects her administration’s resolve to ensure that every community has access to essential medical services.
While interfacing with the construction team, the Chairman stressed the need for timely completion of the project to enable the host community benefit from improved healthcare. She also commended health workers for their dedication and urged them to remain diligent in the discharge of their duties, describing their role as critical to the wellbeing of residents.
According to her, the upgrade of the Iwuo-Okpom Health Post forms part of a broader plan to enhance primary healthcare services across the area. She noted that the completion of the project would mark a significant step towards strengthening medical service delivery in Ibeno.
