ONNA Chairman Inspects Banking Facility, Decries Slow Pace of Work

Date:

The Executive Chairman of ONNA Local Government Area, Hon. Kufre Umoren, has inspected the ongoing construction of a banking facility in the locality and expressed dissatisfaction with the slow pace of work at the site.

The project, being developed to house a Zenith Bank agency, is expected to mark a historic milestone for ONNA by providing residents with access to essential financial services.

Speaking during the inspection, Hon. Umoren urged the contractor to accelerate work on the facility, describing the project as a major economic breakthrough for the people of ONNA.

He emphasized that the agency, would offer services such as deposits, withdrawals, account opening, card issuance, loan applications and bill payments.

“This project represents progress and economic development for our people. With Zenith Bank establishing a presence here, ONNA will take a giant leap forward in financial inclusion, and hopefully, the agency will grow into a full-fledged bank,” the Chairman stated.

The agency is expected to commence operations once final installations are completed and necessary regulatory approvals are secured.
