The Coordinator, Office of the First Lady, Lady Helen Obareki, has unveiled a lineup of festive activities scheduled for December, aimed at engaging women and children across all local government areas of the State.
Lady Obareki made the announcement on Thursday, November 20, during the November edition of the Akwa Ibom State Women Monthly Prayer Service, held at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Uyo. Taking the Bible reading at the event, she disclosed details of the planned activities through the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Hon. Inibehe Etukudo.

The End-of-Year Christmas programme, according to Obareki, will feature carol renditions, games, gift exchange, and a competition in which the winner will be crowned the ARISE Queen.
She also urged wives of local government Chairmen to collaborate with relevant stakeholders and mobilise grassroots support for Governor Umo Eno’s second-term bid.

Delivering a sermon on the theme, “God of the Eleventh Hour,” Pastor Ekaette Kufre encouraged Christians to uphold faith and expectancy in God’s timing, describing the “eleventh hour” as a metaphor for timely intervention, restoration, and new beginning regardless of past or present challenges.
The November edition of the Women Monthly Prayer featured intercessory prayers, praise sessions, and thanksgiving by women born in the month.
